The Georgia legal community raised $400,325 and 18,809 pounds of food for the state’s food banks during the seventh annual Georgia Legal Food Frenzy.

The donations will amount to 1.61 million meals for the food banks to distribute to hungry families, a 21 percent increase from last year, according to Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, one of the sponsors of the event.
