A group of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s former law clerks wrote a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, praising his “strength of character, generosity of spirit, intellectual capacity, and unwavering care for his family, friends, colleagues, and us, his law clerks.”

Thirty-four of Kavanaugh’s clerks signed the letter—all of the clerks who are not prohibited by their current or pending employment from signing. The letter stressed the broad array of the clerks Kavanaugh hired since joining the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in 2006.
