Democrat Feldblum Won’t Pursue Another Term on EEOC

Former EEOC Commissioner Chai Feldblum won’t seek another nomination to the civil rights agency, she told Bloomberg Law.

Feldblum, a Democrat, had been awaiting Senate confirmation for her third term as a commissioner, but the deadline passed on Jan. 2 before the new Congress went into session.

“There are lots of incredibly talented people who can serve,” she said. “I think it’s very important for Sen. Chuck Schumer to recommend someone else for the second Democratic seat.”
