The Massachusetts Court of Appeals has ruled that attorneys acting as agents of a union cannot be held liable for actions taken on the union’s behalf.
The appeals court sided with legal counsel representing the Boston Teachers Union after a former teacher filed a legal malpractice lawsuit against them claiming they failed to submit a timely demand for arbitration on her behalf.
