Two years after creating a groundbreaking idea to promote younger attorneys to senior positions in multidistrict litigation, U.S. District Judge Robin Rosenberg has promoted those lawyers and added 12 more to the plaintiffs’ team suing over Zantac.

Rosenberg, who is overseeing more than 2,000 lawsuits over heartburn medication Zantac in the Southern District of Florida, ordered the establishment of a “leadership development committee” in her original appointment of 26 plaintiffs lawyers in 2020. The leadership development committee was designed to provide “mentorship and experience” to five younger attorneys.
