JPMorgan Chase was slapped with a consumer class action Friday in California Central District Court over the bank's mortgage lending practices. The suit, brought by Kazerouni Law Group, claims that JPMorgan misled borrowers regarding their approval prospects, leading would-be home buyers to incur additional fees, penalties and higher loan interest rates. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 8:22-cv-00744, Hoevelkamp et al v. JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.
