A new report has attempted to identify the locales where lawyers are least likely to be stressed, overworked or underpaid, with New York claiming the top spot.

For the study, conducted by pre-settlement loan company Uplift Legal Funding, each state was assigned a total score out of 10 considering several factors, including job prospects, college experience, academic success rate, degree affordability, cost of living, emotional well-being and occupational stress to determine where lawyers may be the most relaxed.
