Mintz Expands Securities Litigation Practice with Addition of Sean Prosser

Mintz today announced that Sean T. Prosser, a former SEC enforcement attorney, has joined the firm’s Litigation Department as a Member. He joins from Perkins Coie, where he led their White Collar, Government Investigations and Securities Litigation practices in Southern California.

Mr. Prosser defends clients facing shareholder litigation, SEC, FINRA and DOJ investigations, and enforcement actions, and other civil and criminal government and regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings. His clients have included public and private companies, officers and directors, board committees, broker-dealers, banks, investment advisors, hedge funds, certified public accountants, individual stock traders and public officials.

He has particular practice depth defending clients in securities investigations and white collar actions initiated by regulatory authorities across the country and with a focus on California, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), including U.S. Department of the Treasury (USDT); the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA); NYSE, NASDAQ, and other stock exchanges; California Department of Business Oversight (DBO); and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). 

Mr. Prosser also has a significant securities litigation practice. He regularly defends public companies and their executives facing shareholder lawsuits and derivative actions in state and federal courts across the country, including in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
